Meloddirats Rescue started up as a rat rescue 3 or 4 years ago. However, Melissa has been rescuing these amazing critters for 7 years now. Despite having an allergy to them, she does it all on her own and even makes sure to give the rescues cuddle time.
Rescue is a very difficult thing. You put in all of yourself and run yourself ragged and don't get anything back... besides lots of rat love, which is enough for her. At times she takes in huge cases and can end up having some of the rats there for months - getting them better and ready to be adopted, which all costs a ton of time money.
